I first got a diploma from the French school Arts et Métiers (89). After working two years as a consultant in Software Engineering, I decided to come back to school. I had one year in the Ecole Normale Supérieure (92-93) in Paris and did a PhD Thesis in Computer Science at the Université de Rennes 1 (93-97). Then I worked in the University "La Sapienza" of Roma (97) and taught for two years at the Université de Rennes. I arrived in June 99 at the University of Leicester. Research InterestsCategory theory, Mathematics and Computer science. My research and teaching interests are in Computer Science and Maths. I like nice applied things such as compilers and their theory as well as rather more abstract things such as category theory. I am a member of the semantics group.
